A Squash Club Built On Legacy, Pathways & People
For more than five decades, MCC Squash has been home to players of every level — from beginners picking up a racquet for the first time, to national champions competing at the highest standard.
The club has fostered some of Victoria’s finest players and continues to support a complete pathway of development through strong junior programs, women’s leagues, and competitive pennant and circuit teams. With one of the largest playing memberships in Victoria, MCC Squash provides unmatched opportunities for competition and growth. The club runs two internal championships each year, along with regular programs that engage and develop members outside of the formal pennant structure.
Community is central to the MCC Squash experience: a welcoming culture, an active network of volunteers, and the support of the wider MCC sporting family. From juniors balancing study and sport, to seasoned veterans, MCC Squash is proud to offer an environment where all members can thrive .
MCC Squash is not just about performance. It’s about connection, structure, and legacy — all led by our dedicated committee, energetic volunteers, and the guidance of our president, Peter Wright OAM .

OPENING HOURS
- Home Venue: Goodlife Health Club, 41 Johnston Street, Fitzroy VIC 3065
- Monday – Friday: 6:00am – 10:00pm
- Saturday – Sunday: 7:00am – 8:00pm
- Bookings can be made online or via phone.
- Walk-ins welcome during match nights, junior squads, and Thursday socials.
- Ask about social play, women’s league, junior development, and club circuit pathways when you visit.

Number of Courts
We currently operate out of 6 squash courts at our Fitzroy venue. The space is compact but efficient, supporting league matches, social play, and structured training programs throughout the week.
Amenities & Lockers
MCC members have access to Goodlife-managed locker rooms, including showers and changing facilities. These are available during club sessions and training nights for player convenience.
Goodlife Gym Access
MCC Squash members get discounted Goodlife Fitzroy access. Gym, classes, group fitness, spa & sauna. Perfect for cross-training or general fitness alongside squash.
Rental Equipment
Need a racquet or ball? Basic squash equipment is available for hire or purchase on-site, perfect for beginners or visiting players.
Club Training & Junior Coaching
MCC runs structured coaching sessions for all playing levels. Sessions are led by accredited coaches and scheduled to align with the club’s competition calendar.
MCC Clinic (Thursdays)
Free weekly drills and matchplay for all members.
Junior Coaching
A focused junior development pathway supported by senior players and coaches.
Graded Prep Sessions
Tailored sessions for players preparing for pennant or internal championships.

Social Squash Membership – $75 / year
- $5 off Thursday Social Squash ($15 instead of $20)
- Free MCC Clinic training and drills on Thursdays
- Thursday night round-robin competitions
- 25 percent discount on MSAC squash court hire
- Entry into two MCC in-house competitions
- Access to MCC social events (AFL, cricket, annual dinner) when membership is current

C. Membership Fees, Conditions & Compliance
To become a member of the MCC Squash Section, you must either:
- Be a current MCC member, or
- Apply to the MCC to be placed on the MCC membership waiting list
The MCC application fee is currently $150.00.This is a one-off fee payable directly to the MCC.
- MCC Squash Section membership fees are set annually by the committee.
- Membership fees must be paid prior to the commencement of each squash season.
- Subscription invoices will be sent to your current email address.
- Non-Financial players are not eligible to compete in pennant competitions or club championships.
- Non-Financial players may attend the annual dinner at an additional cost.

Message from the MCC Squash Committee
We are proud of every MCC member who represented the club this pennant season, from premiership winners to runners up and everyone who pulled on an MCC shirt and took the court. Across all grades, the season reflected the depth, energy, and commitment that define MCC Squash, with strong participation, competitive teams, and great spirit throughout the club.
This season also highlighted what matters most to us: being inclusive, supporting players at every stage, and creating opportunities for people to enjoy and improve their squash. It has been great to see players across all grades competing strongly and supporting one another, while our junior players continue to grow in confidence and capability alongside more experienced members. From first-time pennant players to long-standing contributors, the sense of connection across the club remains a real strength.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the season a success including players, captains, managers, coaches, referees, parents, volunteers, and supporters. Your time, effort, and willingness to contribute are what keep MCC Squash one of the most active and welcoming squash communities in Victoria.
